What we believe

About God the Father

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is infinite, holy and intelligent Spirit, Whose name is Jehovah, the Maker and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth. We believe that the three persons of the Godhead are equal and have harmonious offices in the work of redemption.

Matt. 28:19; Matt. 3:16-17; Heb. 3:4; II Cor. 13:14; Eph. 1:3-14

What we believe

About God the Son

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary; that He was both the Son of God and God the Son that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man.
John 1:1-2; 1:14; Is. 7:14; Gal. 4:4.

What we believe

About God The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person; equal with God the Father and God the Son and of the same nature; that He was active in creation; that in His relation to the unbelieving world He restrains the Evil one until God's purpose is fulfilled; that He convicts of sin, of judgment and of righteousness; that He bears witness to the Truth of the gospel in preaching and testimony; that He is the agent in the New Birth; that He baptizes, seals, indwells, endues, guides, teaches, witnesses, sanctifies and helps the believer. He also fills yielded believers with Himself for service.  We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit as recorded in 1 Corinthians 12 and 14.
1 Corinthians 12; 1 Corinthians 14; John 14: 16-17; Gen. 1:1-3; John 16:8-11; II Cor. 3:6; I Cor. 12:12-14; Eph. 1:13-14; Rom. 8:9; Eph. 5:18.

What we believe

About Fellowship & Assembly

We believe in and promote the New Testament model of ministry assembly and fellowship in the home, church, and marketplace. We offer a variety of worship opportunities in a variety of places and formats.
Acts 5:41-42

What we believe

About Women In the Church

We believe that women are a valuable and necessary part of the local church. At DPIC, we extend the same rights and privileges to women as we do men.
Galatians 3:27-29

What we believe

About the Family

We believe that the building block of the family is marriage.  We believe that marriage is ordained by the Father, and consists of one man and one woman (Genesis 1:27).  We promote balanced family life that includes Christ as the head, and His love at the center. We embrace singles and encourage a healthy, happy, complete, and holy single lifestyle for those who are not married or who do not desire to marry (1 Corinthians 7:1-9).

What we believe

About Ministry to the Nations

We believe that we are called to be witnesses for Christ locally, nationally, and internationally.
Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-20; Luke 24:44-49; Acts 1:18

What we believe

About Love

We believe in and promote the first and greatest commandment that we should love God with all our hearts, souls, and minds; and that we in like manner should love our neighbors as we do ourselves.  (Matthew 26:36-40)  We  further believe that we draw souls to the Kingdom of God, and to the local church by love.  (Jeremiah 31:3)

What we believe

About the Ordinances - Holy Communion

The Lord's Supper symbolizes the Lord's death and suffering for the benefit and in the place of His people. It also symbolizes the believer's participation in the crucified Christ. It represents not only the death of Christ as the object of faith which unites the believers to Christ, but also the effect of this act as the giving of life, strength, and joy to the soul. We are admonished to partake of the sacrament of Holy Communion as often as we can in remembrance of the sacrifice that Christ made in his broken body and with his shed blood; thereby entering into covenant with man.
1 Corinthians 11

What we believe

About the Ordinances - Water Baptism

We believe that Water Baptism is necessary as instructed by Christ in St. John 3:5, Unless man be born again of water and of the Spirit. However, we do not believe that water baptism alone is a means of salvation, but is an outward demonstration that one has already had a conversion experience and has accepted Christ as his personal Savior. We practice immersion because immersion corresponds more closely to the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord (Colossians 2:12). It also symbolizes regeneration and purification more closely than other forms of Baptism.  We use the Baptismal Formula given us by Christ for all "in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost"

Matthew 28:19; Acts 8:36-39; Rom. 6:3-5; I Cor. 11:23-32; Acts 2:41-42.
